Leopard 100: Introduction to Mac OS X 10.5
Course Description
Leopard 100 Apple Operating System
Introduction to Mac OS X is a one-day preliminary course for those new to Mac OS X who need to prepare for the Mac OS X Support Essentials course, or other technical Mac OS X training courses. This course focuses on getting to know the foundations of Mac OS X, with topics ranging from efficient window and application management to system customization. You’ll also learn how to configure user accounts and manage files.
In addition to the instructional content provided during the hands-on portion of the class, attendees receive a copy the book, Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, by Robin Williams.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for those new to the Mac OS X platform who need to obtain the skills to support other Mac OS X users. This could include entry level IT personnel in businesses that use Mac OS X systems for general productivity or creative design, service technicians who support Mac OS X customers, and technical coordinators or power users who manage networks of Mac OS X systems for their organization—such as teachers and technology specialists who manage a classroom network or computer labs.

This course is designed to give you a tour of the breadth of functionality of Mac OS X and the best methods for effectively supporting users of Mac OS X systems. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical real-world experience.

Mac OS X Server Essentials is a four-day course designed to give technical coordinators and entry-level system administrators the skills, tools, and knowledge to implement and maintain a network that uses Mac OS X Server. Students learn how to install and configure Mac OS X Server to provide network-based services, such as file sharing, authentication, and printing. Tools for efficiently managing and deploying Mac OS X and software updates are also covered. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical real-world experience.
